According to Evil Avatar, both Gamestop and EB won't be accepting pre-orders for the PlayStation 3 until October at the earliest. Not to play completely dumb here, but isn't the whole point of a pre-order to order a product in, you know, advance? Obviously, they don't want another Xbox 360 disaster on their hands, but wouldn't the answer to be actually stock the stores with the promised inventory? Naturally, I suspect that's probably easier said than done. Guess the stores are big fans of The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."
